LANSDOWNE SWIM CLUB (LSC) RULES & REGULATIONS:

MEMBERSHIP- It is extremely important to follow the procedures below:

  • 1. Members of LSC must have 2025 LSC membership cards for entrance to the LSC property. Cards will be held at the gate during your stay. Envelopes will not be accepted by the gate attendant. Cards need to be picked up as you leave the pool. No one will be permitted to enter the pool without a card without manager approval. A babysitter card may only be used when caring for the child(ren).

  • 2. Guest Passes: Only adult members may sign in a guest. The adult must stay with the guest for the time of the visit. No one under the age of 18 may sign a guest in.

    A. Guest fees are $12 per guest per visit

    B. A 10-punch guest pass is available for purchase at the front gate at a cost of $100.00 until June 25, 2025.

    C. Number of guests daily may be restricted by the manager.

  • 3. LSC MEMBERSHIP CARDS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE: Misuse of LSC membership cards will result in the IMMEDIATE loss of pool privileges. If your LSC membership card is lost, report it immediately to a manager and fill out a form on the website www.lansdowneswimclub.com. A replacement card will be issued for $4.00 (four dollars).

AGE-DEPENDENT REGULATIONS

  • 4. ENTRY to the swim club:

    A: Children under the age of 7 are not permitted on the pool-grounds unless accompanied by an adult card member who will be responsible for their conduct.

    B: Children 12 years and under who have NOT passed the swimming test, must be accompanied by an adult card-member who will be responsible for their conduct

    C: Children 7 through 12, who have passed the swimming test, are permitted to enter the pool alone until 5 pm.

    D: No one under the age of 18 may sign a guest in.

    E: Admittance to party events will be governed by the age restrictions of the event.

  • 5. ADULT ONLY AREAS:

    a. The roped-in area next to the diving area is for adults only. No person under the age of 18 is allowed in the area. This area is ALWAYS for adults and there should be no “cannon balling” or jumping of any kind in this area.

    b. The hot tub deck is also for Adults Only. We will limit it to 3 people for 25 minutes. The hot tub will be drained every Monday night at 7:30. It will reopen Tuesday at 1:00. Pay attention to signs near the ticket booth.

  • 6. KIDDIE POOL:

    a. The kiddie-pool is for children under the age of 6. An ADULT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CONDUCT AND SAFETY will accompany children using the kiddie-pool. There is no lifeguard assigned to the baby pool.

    b. During an adult swim, children who swim in the large pool MAY NOT use the “kiddie-pool”.

    c. Any child who is not potty trained must wear swim diapers. We will have a limited selection available for a fee at the main entrance for your convenience.

    d. Please write your membership number on toys and make sure you take them home every day.

CONDUCT

  • 7. Please listen to the lifeguards and Managers. NO ONE should jump into the pool backwards or dive into pool with hands at side.

  • 8. Running, pushing, wrestling, dunking, ball throwing, super soakers, water guns and general horse play (throwing of children and sitting on shoulders) is prohibited on pool grounds.

  • 9. Personal floatation devices for young children may be used in the big pool but must stay between the wall and the third black line.

  • 10. Other swimming accessories, such as diving masks, snorkels, fins, or noodles are not permitted in the large pool.

  • 11. Pets of any kind are NOT permitted on club property at any time.

  • 12. The slide and dive are open to members over the age of 12, or members under the age of 12 who have successfully completed the swimming test. When children pass their deep-water test, they will receive

  • a bracelet and get their card punched. Only one bracelet will be issued to a member for the season. Children will keep the bracelet until the end of the season. If a child loses or breaks the bracelet, the member will be charged $3.00. Children must have the bracelet on to go off the dive or down the slide.

  • 13. All guests must take the deep-water test if they would like to go off the dive or slide.

  • 14. When there are more than 30 people in the water, we will have an adult swim at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 for 15 minutes every day. Children should not sit along the edge of the pool during adult swims. There will be a short whistle to indicate the adult swim is over and a long whistle to allow children to enter back in the big pool.

  • 15. Lounge chairs are for adults only. Please do not remove chairs from adult hot tub deck.

  • 16. As a courtesy to our members, we ask that if you will be coming to the pool after 8 pm on any given night, you call Lansdowne Swim Club by 7:30 pm that day at 484-461-6990 and speak to the manager on duty, to make sure the pool will be open.

  • 17. Irresponsible behavior (throwing sand, obscene language, or gestures, etc..) is not permitted and will subject the offenders to suspension or loss of family membership.

  • 18. On Sunday nights, we will have float night from 7-8. Due to the number of floats in the pool, floats must be approved by the manager on duty. They should be of appropriate size and have a hole in the middle.

    FOOD / DRINK

  • 19. When ordering hot food from the snack bar you can place your order with an employee in the snack bar. We will call you to the snack bar when your food is ready.

  • 20. Food may be taken down to your table or seating area by the pool. No food or drink may be on the deck near the water. Please make sure you dispose of all trash and clean the tables.

  • 21. When we are full time hours the grill and fryers will be turned off at 7PM to clean up the snack bar every night. No orders will be taken after 7PM for hot food. The snack bar will remain open until closing for other purchases. Part time hours, it will close at 6:30.

  • 22. The snack bar only accepts cash or Venmo. Venmo is @Lansdowne-swim

    HEALTH & SAFETY

  • 23. ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS CONTAINERS ARE PERMITTED ON THE LSC GROUNDS.

  • 24. For the safety and consideration of others, please make sure you are parking only legal spots in the parking lot. Please make sure you pull all the way into the parking spot. Cars that do not follow these directions are subject to being towed.

  • 25. Please drive slowly in the parking lot as we have many children playing or walking through the parking lot.

  • 26. Persons under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will be denied entrance to the pool.

  • 27. Alcohol or drugs are not to be brought on to the LSC grounds. Gambling is prohibited. Violations will result in membership suspension or cancellation.

  • 28. Members and/or guests with skin rashes, sores, abrasions, skin infections, respiratory infections, or COVID-19 should not come to the pool.

  • 29. Any child who is not potty trained must wear swim diapers. These will be available for a fee at the main entrance for your convenience.

  • 30. The manager will close the pool for reasons concerning health or weather. Please check emails, social media, or sign up for text alerts if we need to close the pool.

  • 31. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED: THERE WILL BE NO SMOKING OR VAPING FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE RAMP AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SWIM CLUB.

  • 32. All accidents/injuries MUST be reported to a guard or manager on duty at the time they occur.

  • 33. When there is inclement weather, all members must go up to the snack bar, ping pong area, or parking lot. No one will be allowed to stay near the pool area. Umbrellas will be put down when the pool is cleared.

FACILITIES / PROPERTY

  • 34. LSC is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

  • 35. We do have a lost and found located near the ping pong table. If you left something behind, please check the container daily. We will be cleaning it out on the first and fifteenth of each month. We will then have a towel sale.

  • 36. Please take all belongings home after each day to help the guards with closing duties and to keep the baby pool clean.

  • 37. Damage costs to LSC property will be charged to the responsible adult member.

  • 38. Members are not permitted on pool grounds when the pool is closed.

  • 39. As a courtesy to our members, pool chairs are provided, they are not to be used to support legs or feet, nor should they be turned over to be used as back rests. Please only use one chair per person.

  • 40. If a member would like to host a party at LSC, please contact management at lansdowneswimclub@gmail.com with party on the subject line. We are not able to host parties on event days and Sundays. Members will pay the guest fee and it will be limited to a 3-hour time frame.

  • We can only hold parties during full time hours due to limit staff.
